Steph found me here... on Google thanks to another blog post of mine about finding your perfect Phoenix engagement photographer, and I was PUMPED to find out someone actually reads these 😅. She inquired about an intimate engagement session at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix, Arizona which, if you aren't familiar with the place, allows for private photography bookings on certain days. The space is HUGE and we had it ALL to ourselves, making the session extra fun and PERFECT for a couple who preferred to not be in front of others for their session.
Her inspo? The movies. Her Pinterest board was filled with cinematic style Reels and photos. If you love the style and/or always wondered how to get photographs like that for your engagement or wedding day, the answer is simple... movement. Those photos you love aren't because the couple has some secret super-power, it's because they had a professional photographer who was comfortable with prompts and movement, and gave them the guidance they needed.
Needless to say, I (and they) understood the assignment 😏. Their photos literally look like their from a cutesy little romance movie and are the by-product of genuine laughs and REAL little moments that happened between the two because of my guidance.

If you're looking for cinematic style photographs or a documentary style photographer for your engagement or wedding day I would LOVE to be a part of it!
