I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Mackenzie and Ben's intimate backyard wedding at a stunning private residence (airbnb) in Scottsdale, Arizona. The two traveled from Canada to tie the knot with their closest friends and family as witnesses.
I've always loved intimate "backyard" styled weddings... although I'll never shy away from a traditional wedding at a dope venue, there's just something EXTRA sweet about small, carefree union with your closest people.
When Mackenzie and Ben reached out after finding me on the Arizona Bride Co. website, (https://arizonabride.co/) I was STOKED at the thought of documenting their wedding day... which actually started the day prior on a 3am Sedona hike for private vows, but that's for another blog post.
From the moment Mackenzie and Ben shared their first look, their wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and the perfect personal touches... it truly looked like wedding inspiration STRAIGHT from a Pinterest board.
Mackenzie handpicked the flowers from Trader Joe’s, which added a sweet, down-to-earth vibe to their elegant day, and every guest was treated with a personalized thank-you note placed every so thoughtfully on their seat for the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was short and sweet, with the two opting to have a "ring warming" ceremony, passing their bands around to their family and friends for luck and well wishes, before finalizing their I-Do's.
The wedding reception place settings were thoughtfully crafted, and in keeping with Cinco De Mayo vibe, they brought in a private chef who whipped up a delicious Mexican inspired feast that paired perfectly with their favorite tequila.
The whole day had a relaxed yet elevated vibe, with the beautiful Arizona mountain backdrop adding to the magic of the wedding. It was intimate, personal, and full of heart— exactly how it should be.
Mackenzie and Ben's day was unforgettable, and it’s always an honor to be part of such beautiful celebrations.
