We all do it... I myself am "guilty as charged" when it came to obsessing over my Pinterest board when I was planning my own wedding. It's hard NOT to scroll endlessly, admire, and dream about you and yours on the most magical day of your life and the photographs that you'll get, documenting one of the most intimate and magical days of your life. I remember spending MONTHS pinning every #weddinginspo, #weddingphotos and #weddingportraits I resonated with, ending up with a MASSIVE hodge-podge of hopes and dreams for my photographs.
Now, I'm not here to tell you NOT to "Pin" your heart out. As a documentary style wedding photographer, I LOVE seeing Pinterest boards to see where your mind is at. I actually ASK for a link to your wedding day inspiration upon initial inquiry because, believe it or not, I create my very own personalized mood-board for each and every couple I work with. What I AM saying though... is that Pinterest isn't going to help YOU or ME, get you those exact images. It's not because I can't replicate them to a "T", but rather there is one very important KEY ingredient that makes those images so swoon-worthy... LOVE.
... but Mel, if we're in love , why can't we have those same photos?
People in LOVE photograph extremely well... throw those people into a party planned in honor of the love they share (aka a wedding)? They'll photograph even better. Back to the question above... why can't you have the same photographs? It's simple. YOUR love will photograph completely different than the photos you see on Pinterest... your story is unique and unlike any other, and your photos should be NO different.
That's why I am here. As your Arizona or destination wedding photographer, I invest my heart and soul into documenting your day exactly how it should be. Perfectly imperfect and unapologetically YOU. I focus on your story and spend your day as a fly on the wall to let wedding day unfold naturally... to document it in it's truest form. You and your people exactly as you know and love them.
So forget about your cell phone and don't stress about the light drizzle of rain you didn't anticipate. Don't worry about your bridesmaids not being "dressed" yet, or the best man who can't find his tie... focus on laughing a little harder and eating all those hourdourves you so meticulously planned. Enjoy your cocktail hour, love with all your heart, kiss as often as you can, and fall madly deeply in love with your person. I promise you, that is the EXACT recipe to getting "Pinterest Worthy" photographs on your wedding day... oh and don't forget the experienced wedding photographer.
If you're looking for an Arizona or Destination wedding photographer with a documentary style approach, I would LOVE to chat with you about about coverage options and what I have to offer.
